This is STRAIGHT OUTTA KANSAS - SO KS for short. Where we know everyone has a story to tell, especially those who don't think they do. From the Sunflower State, whether a lifelong Kansan or just passin' through, featured guests of STRAIGHT OUTTA KANSAS have heart-warming, memorable, often funny stories to share! And so do hosts Sherri Stapleton and Jaime Hudson.
Sherri moved to Kansas from her home state of Oregon in 1996 to pursue what has now become a 30+ year leadership career in construction. Before coming to Kansas, Sherri starred on her high school basketball team and was a two-time bball High School Hall of Famer! She lead her school in their first state women's basketball championship and was recognized All State. Sherri went on to play college basketball and then coach high school hoops. She currently resides near Wichita and just last year, started her first podcast "Unfiltered" with her best friend Jackie (Jax).
Jaime is a lifelong Kansan - born and raised here. Jaime has dreamed of a career in Marketing and Journalism since she was in fifth grade. She also started writing and sharing her stories in grade school. Today, Jaime is a marketing director in a clinical research company and enjoys creating podcasts in her free time. She is the producer of "Unfiltered with Jax and Stapleton" and is excited to launch STRAIGHT OUTTA KANSAS.
We hope to share stories from lifelong Kansans as well as those just passin' through our great state. From college athletes, local legends and political candidates to motivational speakers, life coaches, award-winning business owners, alphabet mafia members and their allies, we want to bring light to these stories. We want to focus on the moments - and the people - that shape the Sunflower State and beyond.
We know times are tough. Hope is on backorder and we're running low on laughter and love. That's why STRAIGHT OUTTA KANSAS was started. To spread exciting stories, inspiration, love and laughter.
From our remodeled camper, Outhouse, let us be your unofficial tour guides. Your Hatteberg's People meets Thelma and Louise on steroids! All unapologetically somewhere over the rainbow.
